Since the launch of the Stent-Save a Life! initiative in Argentina 3 years ago, the team is proud to have achieved the most challenging task: put an entire country in motion!



In the wake of the AsiaPCR conference - which was the occasion for Malaysia, Myanmar and Hong-Kong to formally become Stent-Save a Life! members - the global initiative reasserted its broad reach objective through an active participation in the African equivalent meeting that took place in South Africa, at the end of March, and witnessed the accession of Kenya and Sudan to the SSL community.



Saving lives due to STEMI - or heart attacks - calls for a system of care that facilitates diagnosis-to-treatment protocols within a specific time window. STEMI India has developed an innovative and affordable system of care in response to this need - a system that has proven to be successful in shortening the time from diagnosis to treatment in a pilot study and soon to become the model for STEMI management in India... and beyond?


Stent - Save a Life!

The Stent – Save a Life! global initiative aims to improve the delivery of care and patient access to the life saving indications of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (p-PCI), thereby reducing mortality and morbidity in patients suffering from acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
