Hosted during the EuroPCR week, the Stent-Save a Life! 10th annual Forum was the opportunity for the global initiative to retrospectively look at the path covered since its launch in 2008 and lay the foundation for a more efficient and standardised management of STEMI patients along the referral pathway.

As the global initiative keeps raising interest from countries in all regions of the globe, the recent Stent-Save a Life! annual Forum was the opportunity to officially welcome the 3 latest new candidates.

Nowadays, cardiology increasingly turns towards the use of data to inform its practices and improve patient outcome. Aligned with the Stent-Save a Life! current main directive and intention to improve the quality of data is the new and first edition of the EAPCI White Book that compiles important, independent and targeted interventional cardiology data collected in 16 ESC member countries.

Five years after joining the Stent-Save a Life! initiative, the continuous efforts of the Argentine team to tackle the main barriers, preventing more STEMI patients to access the pPCI reperfusion treatment, led to the successful gathering of the different STEMI management protagonists with the aim to address the reality of the AMI medical care in Argentina.
