The Stent - Save a Life! community is such a family united by its ambition to improve STEMI care on a global scale. The end of the year is therefore an appropriate moment to reflect on family affairs and look back on 2021.

Founded in 1993, the Iranian Heart Association aims to promote cardiology research, teaching, prevention and treatment to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in Iran.
Gathering more than 800 members, the IHA consists of 9 working groups – interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, echocardiography, pediatric cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, nuclear cardiology, cardiac anesthesiology, heart failure and congenital heart disease in adults – and regularly holds domestic and international congresses in collaboration with prestigious foreign academic institutions.
Iranian Heart Journal is the official quarterly publication, in English, of the Iranian Heart Association and publishes original papers, review articles, case reports, and brief communications on topics in pediatric and adult cardiology, cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia and related issues from all over the world.

As a result of the EuroPCR 2020 cancellation due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the Stent – Save a Life! global initiative hosted its annual event a few weeks later than usual, on July 3rd, albeit in a virtual and shorter format.
