The Stent Save a Life! (SSL) Tanzania Project is focused on building a structured STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) care network across Tanzania. .

Key messages are summarized below:

•Hub-and-spoke model: JKCI as the central hub + 10–15 regional hospitals (public and selected private).
• Chest Pain Clinics integrated within Emergency Departments.
• Supported by the global SSL initiative, with technical expertise from STEMI India. .

    The Stent – Save a Life! global initiative aims to improve the delivery of care and patient access to the life saving indications of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (p-PCI), thereby reducing mortality and morbidity in patients suffering from acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
